I was very delighted to be invited at the Pratt Institute by Annie Kwon and Tetsu Ohara at their students presentation reviews next to a highly qualified jury! The students had the assignment to redesign the interior of the legendary loft on Kent Avenue, Brooklyn, where I actually live when I am in New York.
Challenging: the interior design had to be based on a high fashion garment of Issey Miyake, Alexander McQueen among others, giving a great creative opportunity to explore the intersection between fashion, fabrics, materials and architecture. Very good stuff! The best 2 designers of each of the 4 groups are exhibiting their results on the top floor of the Design Building on the Brooklyn Campus.
The model featured here above is by Natalie Minott. Good work!
